Newsletter
To keep members abreast of activities, a quarterly newsletter is sent out to the membership. It is also mailed to numerous other organizations and elected officials and City boards to make them aware of our activities and concerns.
Events
Educational programs for our members are also open to the public and are held throughout the year. In addition, a Christmas party and Ice Cream Social are held so all members can become acquainted and discuss preservation issues. Each member is encouraged to bring friends, prospective members and relatives to these socials.
Dues
Each calendar year, the annual membership dues are paid to enable HWI to operate and perform its preservation tasks. In addition to paying dues, HWI members are encouraged to volunteer their time to committee activities to participate in the success of our programs. In addition to the satisfaction of knowing you are making a difference in Waxahachie, you will gain new insights about your city and develop new friendships along the way.
Board
A volunteer Board of Trustees comprised of Waxahachie residents directs our membership. There is no executive director or paid staff.
